John Brown

John Grady Brown, 73, of Hobbs, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at his home. John was born on November 10th, 1944 in O'Donnell, TX to Grady and Rosie V. Brown (Ma). He was one of ten siblings. John married Mary Jeanette Townsend of Denver City, TX. They moved to San Angelo, TX to raise their two sons Bryan and Greg. Jeanette passed away on May 21, 1971.

John and Linda Hill were married on June 10, 1995. They recently celebrated 23 years of marriage together. John worked for Star Tool Company in Hobbs, NM for 40 years and eventually retired from Smith International in 2002. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Brown of the home, Bryan Brown and wife, Leigh of Weatherford, TX, Greg Brown of Hobbs, NM, Donnie Hill Jr. and wife, Angela of Hobbs, NM, Sherry Goodwin and husband, Brian of Hobbs, NM, Richie Hill and wife, Brooke of Midland, TX, Amy Hill of Hobbs, NM. Grandchildren include Adrien and Joshua Brown, Collin, Tristan, and Blaklee Goodwin, Hannah Hill, Joe Hill, Donnie Hill, III, Bailey and Brock Hill. Sisters; Kay Fleming of San Antonio, TX, Shirley Warren of Granbury, TX, Brother Joe Brown of Brownwood, TX and brother/sister-in-law Kenny and Susan Lucas of Richardson, TX.

Preceded in death by Grady and Rosie V. Brown of Denver City, TX, Billie Ward of Sweetwater, TX, Roger Brown of Sweetwater, TX, Don Ray Brown of Washington State, Doug Brown of Ruidoso, NM, Judy Carson of Tyler, TX, Janice Tucker of Washington State and numerous cousins and nephews.
