John William “Bill” Cleveland, 87, of Hobbs passed away on August 1st. He was born in Waurika, OK. He attended the University of Oklahoma before enlisting in the United States Army. He lived in Southeast New Mexico since 1960, where he worked for Halliburton for thirty-two years before retiring. He loved to fish, hunt, and wood work. He was an avid University of Oklahoma football fan and loved his Eagles Basketball games even more!
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Charlotte of fifty nine years, their three daughters Lisa Cleveland of Odessa, TX, Diana and David Roper of Hobbs, NM, and Laura and Chris Garcia of Midland, TX, their five grandchildren Rebecca and James Burke of Frisco, TX, Joshua and Blanca Garcia of Midland, TX, Sarah Roper Ramos of Frisco, TX, Gabriel Garcia of Midland, TX, and Nicholas Garcia of Midland, TX, and their nine great grandchildren Kadyn Ramos, Alex Garcia, Kaitlyn and Hailey Burke, Kai Ramos, Mila Garcia, Ian and Joshua Luke Garcia, and Adaline Garcia.
