John Witherspoon

John Witherspoon, son, father, grandfather, friend, ascended to his new home on October 10, 2022. He was born to James and Judy Witherspoon on June 29, 1966. He graduated from Hobbs High School in 1985.

He met and fell in love with his true love, Sharon Johnson. With the help of Myra and Mark Pizzo, the two tied the knot in Las Vegas, NV on August 6, 1998. On July 27, 2000, the couple were blessed with Isaiah, only to be blessed again on November 23, 2009, when Malachi was born.

John was known for being friendly to everyone and loved to talk about whatever the topic was at the time. He enjoyed watching his sons and friends play basketball while spending time with his father.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Judy and James Witherspoon, uncle Fred “Bud” Philpot, his funny brother-in-law Kenny Davis, and his loving wife Sharon.

Survivors include his big sister, Jane, along with his sons. He also has a grandson, Isaiah Jr., who just celebrated his first birthday. niece Abby and her husband Clinton Foster.
