Jonathan David Lee, 18, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 11th, 2020. He was born in Hobbs, NM on July 24, 2002 to Jerry Darin Lee and Shelley Lewann (Pate) Lee.
Jonathan attended Hobbs High School where he was a member of SkillsUSA. He was also a member of the Lea County Fishing League where he enjoyed competing locally in bass fishing tournaments. He started working at Walmart during his junior year. He graduated from Hobbs High School, Class of 2020. During his senior year he enlisted into the United States Navy. He shipped out for boot camp after graduation on June 29th but was medically discharged on September 1st. We welcomed him home on September 2nd.
He loved fishing, hunting, working on vehicles, hanging out with his Del Family and burning rubber in style. He was an excellent son, grandson, brother, friend and so much more.
Jonathan was preceded in death by his grandpa Jerry (Jerry C. Lee), great- grandma Marie (Goforth), his Pappy (Henry L. Pate).
He is survived by his parents, Darin and Shelley Lee, siblings; Katie Lee of Estes Park, CO, Donovan (DJ) Lee of Hobbs, Kalyssa Stewart of Hobbs, and Alex Lee of Hobbs. His surviving grandparents are his Nana (Judy Pate) of Hobbs, his Granny Jo (Joanne Byrd) and his Grandpa Red (JR Byrd) of Monument, NM. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, his true love Cristal Aragon, many honorary brothers and sisters, a sea of friends, and Del Family.
He was kind, generous, faithful, funny, and so very loving. He was a light and he was good. He brightened every life he touched.
