Joshua Johnson

March 22, 1993 — April 30, 2022

Joshua Allen Johnson passed away unexpectedly on April 30, 2022. Josh was born on March 22, 1993, in Hobbs, NM. Son of Jesse Don Johnson and Becky Marie Arnold raised by Jesse and Kacy Johnson. Josh was preceded in death by his grandfather Billy Don Johnson. Josh was a grandson to Alberta Kay Johnson, Frieda and Rick Arnold. Josh leaves behind his devoted fiancé Ja’Dyn Calderon and his two beloved children Ja’Lah ReAnn Johnson and Joshua Michael Johnson. He was a fierceful and protective brother to Baylee Kay Johnson, Micah Ryann Johnson, Jasey Marcus Johnson, and Natalee Dawn Johnson. Josh is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Josh had a way with people, remained loyal and defended those he loved with every ounce he had in him. He walked through his life with resistance but always stayed true to himself. Josh served as a selfless leader to so many around him, remarkably humble. He worked hard every day to put food on the table and a roof over his family's head. Josh spent most of his time working in the oilfield and during his off time he spent it with his family and friends, listening to music, and playing ball. You would never know when he was struggling because his smile would prove otherwise. If you knew Josh, you knew you had a true friend. His heart was the best thing about him, and he still lives through the lives he has touched. There are losses that rearrange this world and losing Josh is one of them. The memories we were given are backed with substance because he was always genuine. These are earned tears and the bonds we’ve created with Josh will never be broken. Josh was made faithfully in God’s image and there are no words to explain the pain this loss brings. Josh would not want to be remembered with sorrow but rather celebrated knowing he did what he was put on this earth to do. Death is unfortunate but it's inevitable and through God and His grace let this bring peace knowing we'll be united once again.
