Jodi Henson, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on March 21, 2024, in Hobbs, New Mexico. She was born on August 10, 1961, and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Jodi was preceded in death by her loving parents, Joyce and Ray Edmiston. She is survived by her son, Jimmy Henson, his wife Michelle, and her granddaughter Mikayla Henson of Alamogordo, her sister Debbie Robinson of Clovis, niece and nephews Candace London, Tanner Christesson, and Teral Christesson, her aunt Peggy Sanderson, and beloved family members.
Jodi graduated from the College of the Southwest with a degree in business administration and also earned a teaching degree. For 14 years, she dedicated herself to her work as an office manager at Cardinal Laboratories. She also had a slight obsession with turtles, fingernail polish, and Coco Chanel perfume.
Family was at the center of Jodi's life. She had a passion for living and enjoyed every moment to the fullest. Jodi was known for her adventurous spirit, and she loved the water whether it was enjoying girls’ trips to the beach, spending peaceful days in her backyard pool, exploring new destinations, or attending family reunions at Brownwood Lake. Every year, she made sure to take a special trip with her granddaughter, Mikayla, creating lasting memories together.
Jodi will be remembered for her warm heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She also had an ornery streak that brought joy and laughter to those around her. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.
Jodi truly valued the companionship of her rescue pups, Bobo, and Coco, so in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Operation Pawprints, animal rescue.
