Born in Jaralito, Durango Mexico, Juan was known as a hard worker, a helper, and a great friend. He enjoyed cooking for everyone, and his greatest joy was being surrounded by family, friends, and music.

Juan is survived by his wife Maria “Conchita” Astorga and his six children; Juan Astorga Jr. and his spouse Christina Astorga, Cecilia Tarango and her spouse Eduardo Tarango Sr., Elva Santos and her spouse Genaro Santos, Cristina Ortega and her spouse Sixto Ortega, Miguel Astorga and his spouse Erica Astorga, Brenda Astorga and her partner Mary J. Olivas, 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Elida Alicia Astorga.

Described as kind, loving and the best husband, father, grandfather, and brother, He will be extremely missed.
