Judy E. Kendrix (Williams) was born December 7th, 1945, in Ft. Sill, OK to John and Alpha (Jerri) Williams and passed away peacefully on February 4th, 2026, with her loving pup angels next to her. Judy came into this world ready to take it on and never stopped until her last breath.
Judy spent most of her career working in a print shop but most of the stories she told were about her days running the Humane Society or special trips with her family. She loved to spend time with her family, go to the casino, play video games and keep tabs on her family. She spent a majority of her life living in Hobbs, but the last year and half in Taos, NM , where she often talked about loving the mountains and it being so peaceful.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Charley Kendrix; daughter Gearldine Solovic and her son David Welty as well as her parents John and Alpha (Jerri) Williams and her son in law, Richard Solovic.
She is survived by her brother John Williams, Jr (Sue), her daughters: Linda Deming and Jennifer Welty (Rebecca Beardsley). Three stepchildren: Charles Kendrix (Gloria) of whom she had a special bond, Linda Elliot and Robin Kendrix (Annetta). Grandchildren: Kristen Lee, Erica Jaramillo (Ryon), Melissa Bartlett (Zach), Colby Deming (Harlee), Amanda McPeek (Maddie), Colin Deming (Lyndsey), Kaila Berry and Jessica Beardsley. Her great grandchildren: Shanley and Rachel Nava, Nick Solovic, Maddie Bartlett, Kaybree and Brycen Berry, Aiden Day, Rowdy, Creed and Jettson Deming and Esperanza Montoya. Great, great grandson Javier Montoya. Nephew Todd Williams and nieces Stephanie Reedy and Rebecca Welty. All were very special to her, but the bond she had with her great grandson, Nick, was unbreakable.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank the many medical providers that cared for her over the years, the staff of Dialysis Centers, Inc. in Taos, her special friends Joy and Stan Nolan, Vicki Cook, Alfonso and Agnes Ulibarri and all of those who befriended her and welcomed her into your hearts. We will forever be grateful for the love you showed her.
Judy will be missed by those of us she left behind on this earth but has had a glorious reunion in heaven with all those she loved and has missed. Judy's favorite color was red, so we ask that you wear red on February 16th in her honor.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Judy’s name to Stray Hearts Animal Shelter at www.strayhearts.org or (575) 758-2981, as Judy was an advocate for all animals.
Honorary Pall Bearers: Colby Deming, Colin Deming, Zach Bartlett, Nick Solovic, Brycen Berry, Rowdy Deming, Creed Deming, Jettson Deming and Aiden Day.
