Katie Rodriguez

Katie Marie Rodriguez passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021.  She was born on October 2, 2006. Katie was 15 Years old.  She was the best Daughter, Granddaughter, Sister, Cousin, and Friend anyone could ask for.

In her short, beautiful life, Katie lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures.  She had so many talents.  She was a remarkable dancer.  She danced for many years for Maciolek School of Dance.  She learned Tap, Ballet and Jazz.  Katie attended school at Hobbs Freshman High School.  She was a very proud member of the Hobbs High School Marching Band and was a very gifted musician.  She played the Clarinet and was learning to play the Alto Base Clarinet.  Katie also loved the piano and to sing.  She was a self-taught pianist; she was learning how to play Beethoven in a few short weeks from starting to play.  Katie was always ready for an adventure whether it was exploring the outdoors, or her back yard she loved wide open spaces and to travel.  She loved to hunt and fish just like she was one of the guys.  Katie was an amazing swimmer from a very young age and loved the water.

Katie was precious soul will forever leave a footprint on our hearts.  She had an uncanny ability to make people laugh and was able reach out to them in a deep positive way.  Katie will always be remembered for her courage during difficult times.  Katie was always someone who stood for her beliefs and protected others who could not defend themselves.

Katie is preceded in death by her grandmother Katie M. Harrison, her grandfather Norberto Rodriguez, her Aunt Elda Saenz.

Katie is survived by her parents Adolfo and Amanda Rodriguez, her brothers, Joseph Rodriguez, Joshua Rodriguez, Isaias Rodriguez, Adolfo Rodriguez II (Deuce), Sean Rodriguez and sisters Maria and Izabella Arnaiz, Maternal Grandparents, Lonnie J Harrison (Jimmy) and Myra Harrison and Paternal Grandmother Mary Rodriguez and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
