Kristal Avena

A beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. Kristal Janay Avena, left this world too soon, at 24 years young on Aug. 25, 2019. Born in Phoenix, AZ on April 18, 1995 to Jesus Avena JR of Guadalupe, AZ and Ida Rodriguez of Hobbs NM.

Kristal was a loving and devoted mother; she spent every single moment caring for and adoring her daughter Emilli. She was funny, outgoing and vivacious. She was a true testimony of a selfless young lady, and her beauty just radiated from her altruistic ways. She touched and inspired many just by being the person she was. It would be a tragedy for her kindness to go without recognition. Not only did she deserve to feel special and appreciated, but to keep her selflessness as an untold story would be a disservice to those who didn’t have the privilege of knowing her. She was fiercely loyal to her friends and family. We will always remember her beautiful, infectious smile, piercing brown eyes and caring personality. Her presence in our lives will be extremely missed.

When you think of Kristal, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest.

Kristal was preceded in death by her grandfathers; Daniel Armendarez, and Jesus Avena, Sr., and her uncle; Luis Rodriguez. She leaves behind her precious 4-year-old daughter Emilli, parents, sister; Krisilda and her daughter; Isabella, grandmothers; Dolores Armendarez of Hobbs NM and Margie Avena of Guadalupe AZ; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
