Lanty Bernard

Memorial services for Fay Bernard, 81, of Hobbs, will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2012, at Chapel of Hope with Pastor Jotty Kinney officiating. Fay died September 24, 2012, in Hobbs. She was born October 8, 1930, in Hearne, TX, to Herbert and Lanty Garrett. She married Leo Bernard December 26, 1950, in Hobbs. He died August 24, 2001.

Fay was an elementary school teacher in Hobbs schools for 33 years. After retirement, she loved riding motorcycles with Leo and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving Fay is her son, Keven Bernard, and wife Sharon, of Centennial, Co daughter, Kyle Shepard of Hobbs grandchildren, Jeremiah, Shyla, Ryan, Kyle Lynn, Kerri, John, Kelsey and Jackson and 11 greatgrandchildren.

Preceding her in death was her husband, son Kraig, parents and brother.
