Larence O. Hardin, 87, of Jal, NM, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.

Pallbearers (former students) are Goose Armstrong, Kevin Ross, Ricky Miller, Billy Elliott, Sidney Frymire, and Phillip Little.

Larence was born in Midland, TX on August 15, 1933 to Oscar and Lillian Lucille (Stewart) Hardin.  After serving the US Army, Larence was united in marriage to Lou Neil Gladden on June 10, 1961.  Larence retired after 25 years as a high school business teacher at Jal Public Schools.

Larence was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Lillian Lucille Sikes; his two brothers, Clarence and LeRoy Hardin; and his sister, Jeanean Halbrooks.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Lou Neil Hardin of Jal;  his daughters, Whitney Pruett and husband Eldon of Carlsbad, NM, and Paige Ochoa of Decatur, TX; his grandson, Josh Pruett and wife Brittany of Casa Grande, AZ; and his granddaughters, Micah Bignall and her husband Patrick of New Braunfels, TX, Brisa Ochoa of Decatur, TX, and Sela Ochoa of Decatur, TX;  his five great grandsons Cooper Bignall, Kash Pruett, Kalon Pruett, Casen Bignall, and Kolt Pruett; and nephew and several nieces.
