Leston Edwards

Leston Hink Edwards, 87, died Feb. 16, 2007, at his home in Hobbs. He was born April 22, 1919, in Admiral, Texas.

He married Jeraldine McKinney Edwards on Aug. 10, 1951, in Lovington, N.M.

Hink was a longtime resishy;dent of Hobbs. He was a memshy;ber of the Eagles Lodge, VFW, and American Legion. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed hunting.

His family wbuld like to thank Star Hospice employshy;ees, Dr. Braswell, and especialshy;ly; Tammy Leonard for all the loving care given.

Survivors include his wife, Jeraldine Edwards of the home; four sons and their spouses, Mike LaFountain and wife Carolyn of Arlington, Texas, Pat LaFountain and wife Lynnie of Casper, Wy., Tommy LaFountain and wife Janis of Albuquerque, N.M., and Ken Edwards and wife Ernestine of Burleson, Texas; daughter Lynne Newman and husband Greg of McDade, Texas; brother Donald Vance Edwards of Midland, Texas; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters.
