Linda Faye Eades, known by many as “Frosty,” passed away Saturday, October 11th surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, and laughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vivian Faye and George W. Forbes; her sister, Sue Honeycutt; former husbands, Johnny Robertson and Dannie Frosty, and numerous beloved aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her husband, Alan Eades; her son, Jason Robertson and his wife, Stephanie; stepdaughters, Rachel Eades and Hilary Hampton and her husband, Todd; her brother, Mike Forbes; granddaughter, Emily Robertson; great-granddaughter, Emmersyn Miller; brother-in-law, Van Honeycutt; mother-in-law, Sue Eades, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Linda’s faithful dogs, Shelby and Opie, were always by her side and brought her great joy.
Music was her greatest joy, and her favorites were Bob Wills and Merle Haggard. She would often be found dancing and singing along to his songs while working or tending to her birds. She had a deep love for classic cars—especially Chevrolets—and an even deeper love for her church, Crosswind Community Church, where she found purpose in helping others and spreading joy through her servant’s heart. Her creativity, generosity, and humor brightened the lives of everyone she met.
She loved giving gifts to those in need, and most of her life and career were dedicated to serving others. Whether it was through her work, her church, or simple acts of kindness, Linda lived each day with generosity and compassion at the center of everything she did.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, but her spirit lives on in the laughter she inspired, the beauty she created, and the love she gave so freely.
A come and go gathering will be held at Chapel of Hope in Hobbs, NM on Thursday, October 16th from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Please stop by and share your favorite Linda stories with the family.
