A gathering for Luis Castro Aguirre, 79, of Hobbs, will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Green Meadows Lake with honors by the Clovis Honor Guard. Luis died September 26, 2012, in Eddy County. He was born August 25, 1933, in Durango, Mexico, to Heraclio and Petra Aguirre. He married Maria May 6, 1977, in Chihuahua, Mexico.
Luis served in the US Army from November 20, 1956, through November 19, 1958. He was honorable discharged as private first class. He enjoyed everything about nature. Luis grandchildren never failed to bring a smile to his face. He always lent a helping hand and never failed to be plain spoken to others. Something else that made Luis smile was his love for music.
Surviving Luis is his wife, Maria E. Aguirre, of Hobbs Logph Aguirre, and wife Lillian, and their children David, Christina, Richard and Robert Sylvia Airington, and husband Tom, and their children Adrian, Zachary, Justin and Jacob David Aguirre and his children Vincent and Joshua Lydia and Edward Trevino and their sons, Eddie and Jonah Trevino Blanca Skok and her children, Gilbert, Victoria, Isaac and Isabella Mendez Claudia and Delmar Jimenez and their children, Jasmine DeLaPaz, Amiya and Michael Jimenez Alex and Alma Aguirre and their children Makenzie Julie, Kennedy Julia, and Alex Jr. Aguirre Laura Aguirre and Scott sisters, Lupe Alvarado, Francisca Aguirre, Ofelia Molina Torrez brothers, Julio and Fidel Aguirre and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents Heraclio and Petra Aguirre.
