M. Hawthorne

M. Geraldine "Gerry" Hawthorne, 87, was born August 13, 1928 in Earlington, Kentucky to Charles and Lula Smith. She passed away in Hobbs on April 7, 2016.

Gerry was a wonderful cook. She always gave her best for her family and was a devoted mother to her sons which she talked to weekly. She always took pride in her appearance. Gerry had a sweet word for everyone. She was an active member of Crosswinds Community Church and in her Sunday school class. She had a deep love of God.

She is survived by her husband, Ray Baker, two sons; Ron Krantz of Ecuador and Greg Hawthorne (Martha) of Arizona, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William (Bill) Hawthorne, two brothers and two sisters.
