Maggie Lewis

Maggie Jean Lewis, age 86, left this earth surrounded by family and entered the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on March 28, 2023. She was a fighter to the end.

Maggie was born July 17, 1936, in Linden, TX to the union of JT and Mabel Warren. She married Isaac Lewis March 5, 1971.

She spent a large portion of her life as a homemaker, but she was also employed by GTE and B&G Transportation. Some of her hobbies included bowling, sewing, fishing, and watching police and crime dramas.

She leaves to mourn: Howard Reynolds, Earnest Fields, Janice Hollaway (Rickey), Victoria Benford (Clarence), Thelma Lewis, Linda Edwards, Michael Johnson, Marrisa Dean (Kevin), Wanda Ndimbie (Oliver), Danielle Lewis, 23 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; her sisters Flossie Alexander and Della Harris, and a host of other relatives and friends that she held dear to her heart.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband of 34 years; an infant son who passed shortly after birth, sons Tommie Reynolds and Tony Johnson; daughters Brenda Hill and Stephanie Lewis and siblings; R L Blaylock, Betty Lee, Eli Fields, Jr., Tommy Fields, and Laura Wright.
