Mandy Dee McDaniel Martin Waldron was born to Wilbur "Mac" and Sherry Shields McDaniel on July 1, 1962 in Mission, TX. She passed away peacefully in her home with her family by her side on October 1, 2015 at the age of 53.
Mandy graduated from Iraan High School in 1982. She then attended Odessa College where she graduated with her Associate Degree in Nursing. In 1994 she graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern with her Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Certification.
In 1983 she married Richard Martin in Odessa, TX. They moved to Hobbs in 1987. Mandy and Richard had 3 beautiful children together: Danielle, Matthew, and Mallory. In 1998 she married William Waldron.
Mandy touched countless lives during her career in nursing. She started her nursing career in San Angelo, TX working in the NICU. She continued her nursing career at Lea Regional Hospital. She found her passion working with the women of Lea County while working at Hobbs OBGYN. She then continued caring for her patients with Premier OBGYN. One of her greatest joys was caring for others.
Mandy loved being at her church home, Christian Center, where she sang praise and worship every Sunday.
Mandy was preceded in death by her Nana, Jimmie Stovall, her father, Mac McDaniel, and her Camdaddy (grandfather), Cam Shields.
Mandy is survived by her husband of the home, William Waldron, children, Danielle Martin of Hobbs, Sgt. Matthew Martin USMC and wife Jennifer of Jacksonville, NC, and Mallory Tinley and husband Tanor of Midland, TX, stepchildren William Waldron and Kristina Waldron of Hobbs, grandchildren, Brooklyn, Ariana, and Baylee Garcia of Hobbs, Madyson, Maelynn, and Mattilynn Martin of Jacksonville, NC, mother, Sherry Shields of Lewisville, TX, sister Melanie Green and husband Allen of Justin, TX, brother Danny McDaniel and wife Diane of Coppell, TX, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.
