Maria Carrillo

Maria Rita Carrillo, known to everyone as "Buela", was born February 4, 1940 and passed away peacefully on Mother's Day. She was surrounded by her family, including her husband of 62 years, Rodolfo "Rudy" Carrillo.
Maria had a love of gardening, Las Vegas, and The Price is Right. She also had a love of cooking that she was able to share during her 24-year tenure with the Hobbs Municipal Schools. She spent many years working the snack bar and later the concessions for Hobbs High School.
Maria is preceded in death by her son, Rudy Carrillo Jr. She is survived by her 3 daughters; Anna Cris Torres, Lisa Carrillo, and Angela Sanchez, five grandchildren, and two great grandsons. Her greatest love was her family. She will be greatly missed.
