Marina Herrera

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Marina Herrera, 77, of Hobbs, NM, went to be with her heavenly father on January 3, 2024. She was born on April 13, 1946, to Lucia Ortega and Telesforo Herrera in Torreon Coahuila Mexico. Marina enjoyed being surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

She enjoyed family gatherings, cooking, dancing, traveling, walking, attending her grandchildren’s functions and drinking her coffee with panecito, and taking care of her plants.

Being a mother and grandmother was one of the most beautiful moments of Marina's life, a role that gave her much pride and joy.

Marina was a hardworking, strong, and independent woman. She will be greatly missed. Marina was preceded in death by her parents and brother Pascual Herrera. She is survived by her 5 children, Aaron (Patricia) Herrera, Jose Max (Vanessa) Herrera, Belinda (Dale) Boggs, Michael Ramos, and Olivia (Jose) Cruz, 21 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Mario Herrera Ortega, and Joel Castaneda Ortega.

Nuestra querida madre y abuela, Marina Herrera, de 77 años, de Hobbs, Nuevo México, fue a estar con su padre celestial el 3 de enero de 2024. Nació el 13 de abril de 1946 de Lucía Ortega y Telesforo Herrera en Torreón Coahuila México.

Marina disfrutaba estar rodeada de sus hijos y nietos. Disfrutaba de las reuniones familiares, cocinar, bailar, viajar, caminar, asistir a las funciones de sus nietos, tomar su café con panecito y cuidar sus plantitas.

Ser madre y abuela fue uno de los momentos más hermosos de la vida de Marina, algo que le dio mucho orgullo y alegría.

Marina era una mujer trabajadora, fuerte e independiente. La vamos a extrañar enormemente. Marina fue precedida en la muerte por sus padres y su hermano Pascual Herrera. Le sobreviven sus 5 hijos, Aaron (Patricia) Herrera, José Max (Vanessa) Herrera, Belinda (Dale) Boggs, Michael Ramos y Olivia (José) Cruz, 21 nietos, 11 bisnietos, 2 hermanos, Mario Herrera Ortega. y Joel Castañeda Ortega.
