Mike Savell

A memorial service for Mike Savell of Hobbs is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Chapel of Hope, which is in charge of arrangements.

Pastor Kevin Covington will officiate.

Cremation will take place and there will be private family visitation.

Savell, 68, died April 26 in the Lubbock Heart Hospital. He was born August 30, 1941, in Ackerly, Texas. He married Ruth Tramell Savell on January 10, 1989, in Lovington.

Mike enjoyed playing card games, dominoes and billiards. He loved spending time with his family.

Mike is survived by his wife, Ruth Savell of Hobbs five sons, Michael Savell and wife Cassandra Mark Savell and wife Shannon Jerry Van Winkle and wife Tami Eddy Van Winkle and wife Michelle and Russell Reel and wife Chris four daughters Glory Bee Williford Goldie Jean Young and husband Kenneth Cathy Norris and husband Tommy and Mary Savell 23 grandchildren 14 greatgrandchildren one brother, Dewey Floyd Savell one sister, June Gibbs and a special friend, Gloria Ruth Savell.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Thelma Savell, five brothers and two sisters.

Memorial contributions can be sent to the Hobbs Senior Citizens Center, 200 E. Park, Hobbs, NM 88240.
