Morris Burkett

Morris D. Burkett was born October 14, 1948 in Dekalb, TX to Charlie Burkett and Lindell Wooley. He was the 4th of their four children. He entered his eternal home on Monday, November 26, 2018 in Hobbs, NM after a courageous battle with cancer.

Morris was a proud Air Force veteran, having served during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife of the home, Lana, of Eunice, NM, one son; Steven Burkett and wife Lori of Alabama, one daughter; Nichole Wolf and her husband James of Austin, TX, one brother; Bobby Burkett and his wife Judy of Jal, NM.

He also leaves behind four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews, as well as his two beloved pets; Gordon and Lily.
Morris was preceded in death by his parents; Charlie and Lindell Burkett, one brother; David Burkett and a sister; Dorthy Cozens.
