Nathan Myers ,88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 10,2015. He was born in Arkansas and moved to Hobbs in 1952. .He married Louise Kendrix in 1956, He was a loving husband to Louise for 59 years. As a WWII veteran, he served his country in the US Army as a staff sergeant stationed at Ft Bliss. He was honorably discharged in 1946.
Nathan worked several jobs in the beginning, US Post Office for thirteen years and Watson Truck for eleven years. He retired from Watson's in 1985 due to health concerns. Nathan was able to remain active in the Masonic Lodge earning the 32nd degree Scottish Rite.
Those that survive him are his wife, Louise of Hobbs, a son, Ron and wife, Mellanie of Abilene, TX, daughter, Terry Myers Bertrand and husband James of Hobbs, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Nathan also has two sisters, Marion Canion and Janice Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Virginia Happ.
