In the early morning hours of May 27th, 2019 Nellie Ruth Key heard the call from Heaven to
"Come Home". She left her earthly family to join her heavenly family. She now is in the
presence of the one she served for so long, her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Nellie was born February 3, 1935 in French Camp, MS.
She leaves behind on this earth, one daughter, Debbie Greenlee (Jackie Brantner), two sons,
Dwayne Greenlee, (Debbie), and Benny Greenlee, (Connie), thirteen grandchildren, 27 great-
grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren with one more due in November.
Nellie was preceded in death by three husbands, two sons, two grandsons, one
granddaughter, one great-grandson, a brother, and her parents.
Nellie Ruth was a Licensed Minister with the Assemblies of Faith, Inc. ministries. She had a love
for the Lord Jesus Christ and her family that was beyond compare. She was an accomplished
seamstress. Nellie was a hair dresser for many years. She attended Clara's Beauty Academy in
the seventies.
Nellie's hobby was making and dressing porcelain dolls. She would sew the clothes for the dolls as well.
It's been said, "she was a jack of all trades" and it showed when you looked at the house she bought and then gutted and remodeled. She could do anything she put her mind to and it showed.
Nellie was dedicated to her family and friends and will be greatly missed, but will never be
forgotten.
