Norma Little

Norma Little 96, of Hobbs, New Mexico, passed away on March 29th, 2021. She was born in Arthur, Illinois, on November 28th, 1924.

Norma Mae Bailey married Robert Eugene Hansen in Perryville, Mo April 13th, 1940 and together they had two daughters, Sandra Lee and Wanda Jean. The family lived in Illinois for several years then moved to Hobbs, NM in 1958. Norma’s husband Eugene passed away in 1980. Norma remarried years later to Dan Little and lived together until he passed. Norma spent her last few years at Desert Gardens assisted living being taken care of by a loving staff.

Norma worked in a sewing factory in Illinois and Levi Straus in Hobbs. She loved working as a receptionist at the Hotel and Head Start with the young children until she retired.

Beloved “Ma” to 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Predeceased by father William Midas Bailey, mother Mildred Elizabeth Bailey, husband Eugene Robert Hansen and Dan Little, daughter Sandra Lee McLane, and brother Bill Bailey.

Norma is survived by a brother Jack Bailey and wife Linda, daughter Wanda Hansen Cecil and husband James, grandchildren: Jim Cecil and Barbara, Jena Nix and husband Bo, Kimberly Thompson, Kathie Gustwiller and husband Joe, great-grandchildren: Ricky and Rachel Markum, Chisholm, Colton, and Chloe Cecil, Savanna and Kassidy Nix, great-great-grandchildren: Raven Markum and Adalee Valentine and many nieces and nephews.
