alignjustifyFuneral services for Pablo Sanchez Sr. of Hobbs, New Mexico, will be held at 11 a.rn. Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home with Pastor Nicholas Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.

alignjustifyVisitation is 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday at Chapel of Hope and 8 a.m. until service time on Thursday.

alignjustifyArrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.

alignjustifyMr. Sanchez, 83, died May 17, 2009, at his home in Hobbs. He was born July 15, 1925, in Sombrerete, Zacatecas, Mexico. He married Soraida DeLaRosa in November, 1984, in Lovington, New Mexico.

alignjustifyBefore retiring, Pablo had been employed for over 20 years in maintenance at Hobbs Country Club. He enjoyed telling jokes and never met a stranger.

alignjustifySurvivors include his wife, Soraida Sanchez of Guyman, Oklahoma; three sons, Alejandreo Sanchez and Maria Ramirez of Amarillo, Texas; Rodrigo Sanchez and wife Jennifer of Guyman, Oklahoma, and Pablo Sanchez Jr. of Guyman, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Bryan Sanchez, Jonathan Sanchez, Michael Sanchez, Alexis Sanchez and Adrain Sanchez; and numerous brothers, sisters, ne:phews, nieces and cousins.
