Patricia Jackson

Patricia Jackson, 79 passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and favorite caregiver Kristin on April 6th, 2024.

Patricia was born on April 18, 1944 in Hobbs, NM, to Charlie and Stella Gray. She is survived by her daughter Erin Irwin and husband Daniel; Kelly Van Voltenburg and husband Bruce; son Scott Critchfield and husband Kiet Chu; brother Roger Gray and wife Shelba, and sister Karen Garner. She is also survived by grandchildren: Ashley Tschauner (Michael), Zac Critchfield (Brittni), Brittany Hassig, Whitney Rodriguez (Michael), Alex Atkinson (Fiance Ruth Rodriguez), Libby Irwin along with 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter Haley Steele.

Patricia graduated from Hobbs High School and Lubbock Christian University. She worked for many years as an insurance adjuster as well as a private investigator.

After she retired, she was a member of the Red Hat Society and loved all things in their signature colors of red and purple. She enjoyed wearing the most extravagant red hat and brilliant jewelry to the Red Hat outings she so delighted in. During her active years, she spent many hours shopping for antiques and working in her yard where her plants flourished under her green thumb. As her life wound down, she enjoyed watching the game show network and relaxing with her favorite snacks of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and Diet Dr. Pepper.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Mackenzie Court Activities Fund to help enrich the lives of Patricia's friends and fellow residents at Mackenzie Court. Contributions can be mailed to 8609 Boston Ave, Lubbock TX 79423, Attn Activities Fund

The family wishes to give a special thank you to all of the staff and caregivers at Mackenzie Court Assisted Living Center for the care, compassion and love they provided to Patricia until the very end of her life.
