A funeral mass will be held for Rene. F. Villegas, Jr., 32, of Hobbs, 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church officiated by Father Ruben. A rosary service will be 6:00 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Chapel of Hope. Interment will take place after the service at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Rene died October 5, 2012, in Hobbs. He was born August 16, 1980, in Seminole, Texas, to Rene and Elsa Villegas.
Rene enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His hobbies were barbecuing, car racing, and his bullies. He was a part of the Bully Supremacy Kennel. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. Rene was an electrician at DCP Midstream. He took pride in his work and was always ready to give it 100. Rene loved attending all of his childrens sport events, from ballet to soccer to basketball he was very proud of their accomplishments. Rene had a tendency of putting other people before himself. He was a very generous and considerate person with a heart of gold.
Surviving Rene is his fiance, Elya Cooper his son, Miziah Villegas and his daughter, Elexis Villegas parents, Rene and Elsa Villegas brothers, Eric and Israel Villegas sister, Crystal Villegas, grandmother, Baudelia Holguin nieces, Natalie Villegas and Jayden Parker nephews, Nathan Villegas and Trent Frederick mother and fatherinlaw, Ronald and Olga Cooper brother and sisterinlaw, Derric and Jovan Frederick and numerous aunts uncles, cousins and friends.
Preceding him in death was his grandfather, Rafael Holguin, his aunt, Gloria Holguin and his cousin, Edgar Alvarez Holguin.
Rene will be greatly missed, not only by his fiance and kids, but by his whole family and friends.
