Mr. Garcia, 53, died June 1 in Hobbs, N.M. He was born Sept. 18, 1953, in San Diego, Texas.

Survivors include his parshy;ents, Jesse and Juanita Garcia of Hobbs, N.M.; a son, Derick Garcia of Lubbock, Texas; a daughter, Felicia Aguilar of Hobbs, N.M.; two brothers, Raymond Garcia of Austin, Texas, and Jesse Garcia Jr. of Houston, Texas; a sister, Juanita Acosta and husband Sammy of Hobbs, N.M.; a grandson, Tyler Newman of Hobbs, N.M.; three nieces, Samantha Acosta of Hobbs, N.M., Candace Acosta of Hobbs, N.M., and Tori Garcia of Austin, Texas; and an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Benny Garcia of Lovington, N.M.
