Rosalia Lopez was born in Las Varas Saucillo Chihuahua Mexico, on February 7, 1932, she was 94 years old. She is survived by her 7 children. Santos Lopez of Hobbs, New Mexico, Maria Ortiz of Lovington, New Mexico, Lupe Aldaz and husband Horacio of Hobbs, New Mexico, Teresa Lopez of Hobbs, New Mexico, Jesse Lopez of Hobbs, New Mexico, Frances Calderon and husband David of Hobbs, New Mexico. Rosalia had 16 grandkids. 44 great grandkids and 17 great great grandkids. Proceed by death, her husband Juan Francisco Lopez, grandson Mario Ortiz, granddaughter Ana Kristina Mendoza, mother Marcos Montanez, father Julian Montanez, three sisters and 1 brother.
Rosalia Lopez (Buelita), a woman of faith, integrity and love.
She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, where her relationship with GOD was the foundation of her life. Rosalia found her greatest joy in spending weekends barbequing with her family making memories with the people she loved.
She enjoyed the outdoors, attending to her rose bushes, camping and any sports her grandkids were involved in. She loved listening to music and dancing, watching her favorite TV shows and movies. La India Maria, Bonanza and Little House on The Prairie.
One of her past times was playing Loteria with family, filling every game with laughter and joy.
Rosalia cherished her family. The holidays were especially meaningful to bringing everyone together and sharing her love through the tradition of making tamales.
Her kindness, strength and faith will remain in our hearts forever.
We love you and will miss you deeply.
A visitation for Rosalia will be held on Thursday July 30, 2026, from 1pm to 6pm and a funeral service on Friday July 31, 2026, at 11am, both to take place at Chapel of Hope with a burial to follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.
