Funeral services for Ruby L. Thomas, 81, of Hobbs, will be 2:00 p.m. January 25, 2013, at Chapel of Hope officiated by. Visitation will be Thursday, January 24 8:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. until service time at Chapel of Hope. Ruby died January 21, 2013, in Hobbs. She was born March 2, 1931, in Ardmore, OK, to Morris and Nona Mapp. She was a member of Fellowship of Believers.

Ruby worked as a bookkeeper for J. C. Penney and Dunlaps. She loved her family and she enjoyed bowling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Pate.
