Rudy “Big Rudy” Salazar 62 of Hobbs, NM entered heavens gates September 11, 2022, in El Paso, TX, he was born August 24, 1960, in Hobbs, NM to Manuel and Cruz Salazar.
Rudy knew no strangers; he would talk to anyone and everyone!! He was an outgoing and kind soul!! He loved to cook and bbq, he always made sure to feed everyone that was around. He was always a very blunt person who always spoke what was on his mind but would give the shirt off his back!!! He was a very Hard worker who spent his whole life working in the oilfield but also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren...He played softball for Hightimes Astros and Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. He also served in the US Navy in the 80s.
He is survived by his 4 children Raul R. Salazar of Hagerman, NM, Rudy G. Salazar and wife Stephanie of Hobbs, Isaac Salazar and wife Lisa of Hobbs, NM and Victoria Brenea Salazar of Hobbs, NM and sister Joann Alba and husband Bobby and brother Arturo Salazar, and 9 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Jon Isaiah "Fat Daddy" Salazar, brother Hector Salazar, niece Anissia Salazar, and father-in-law Nuno Cobarrubio.
