Obituary

In Loving Memory of Sandra Lynn Kingston

Sandra Lynn Kingston, lovingly known as Sandy, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026, at the age of 76.

Sandra was born on March 21, 1950, in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she lived most of her life before moving to Hobbs, New Mexico in 2022 to be closer to her only daughter.

Sandra was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, sense of humor, spunk, fierceness, and the unconditional love she showed to those around her. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Eva Salazar Raso; her father, Trino Raso; her sister, Micky Miller; her brother, Richard “Razz” Raso; brothers-in-law Richard Gurle and Glen Miller; nephews and niece.

She is survived by her spouse, Todd Kingston; her children, Todd, Kari, and Jason; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her siblings; and many other family members and friends who loved her dearly. She was affectionately known as a ‘mama bear,’ fiercely protective, endlessly loving, and always ready to defend and care for those she held dear.

Those who knew Sandra will remember her radiant spirit, fierce heart, and incredible ability to always remain true to herself. She had a way of leaving an impression on everyone she met and brought her own special light into the lives of those around her.

She will be deeply loved, forever remembered, and profoundly missed.

A memorial service celebrating Sandra’s life will be held at Chapel of Hope in Hobbs, New Mexico. Details are still being finalized.
