Stephen Wuest

Stephen Raymond Wuest, 81 of Hobbs, New Mexico died at his home after battling cancer on Thursday, May 29th, 2025. Stephen was born on May 29th 1944, in Belleville, Illinois, the son of Raymond and Jeanette (Bucholtz) Wuest.

Stephen was a hard-working family man who served his country in the United States Army and provided for those who mattered most to him. He was a loving father, a valued friend, a big brother, a caring husband, and a great man who will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his loving wife Suzanne Wilson Wuest of Hobbs New Mexico, his daughter Stephanie and his 4 sons Robert, Steven, Stephen Jr, Michael, and step-children Cheri Waddle, Chuck Wilson, granddaughter Kristen Wilson, and great-grandson Aidan McCainn and 15 grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Susan Smithmeyer and his brother Dennis Wuest.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Jeanette Wuest, his sister Deborah F. Clark, the mother of his children Gloria Wuest, and his two kids Jo Ann Mathis and Newell Davis.
