Steven Barringer

Steven Ray Barringer went to meet his Lord and Savior Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the age of 67. He came into this world on December 20, 1951 in Elgin, Illinois. Steve was well known in his community and loved by many. His life revolved around his family as well as sharing the love for Jesus Christ with others. Whether it was fishing with his son and son-in-law, riding roller coasters with his daughters, or taking his 4 grandsons for movie night, he was always there for his family. He was the perfect husband for 43 years to his wonderful wife Marta Barringer, even keeping Friday's open for date night. He will be a very missed man not only by his family, but this community. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; Val and Sinia Barringer, and younger sister; Barbara Barringer. He is survived by his wife; Marta Barringer, son; Daniel Barringer, daughter; Melody Barringer, daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Justin Davis, 4 grandsons; Gavin Barringer, Atlea Barringer, Cutter Davis, Ty Davis, older brother; Dan Barringer and sister-in-law Jan Barringer.
