Sylvia Gonzalez

Sylvia Gonzalez, age 61 of Hobbs, passed away on February 13th, surrounded by her children. She was born to Reyes Hinojosa and Adelaida Robledo on January 24th, 1959.  Sylvia married Hector Gonzalez on December 31st, 1975 and had 4 children, who then went on to bless them with 15 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, and loving mother and grandmother.

Sylvia enjoyed craftwork and crocheting, but truly loved spending time with her family and cherished her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Adelaida Robledo, a brother Edward Hinojosa, and her husband Hector Gonzalez. She is survived by two sisters, Ruby and Louisa Hinojosa; 4 brothers, Henry, Ernest and Reyes Hinojosa Jr, and Elael Robledo; her 3 daughters, Linda Gonzalez and spouse Jose Rodriguez, Maria Poe and spouse Jeff Poe, and Ida Gonzalez and spouse Manny Sandoval; and one son Leroy Gonzalez and spouse Casey Gonzalez. She had 15 grandchildren, Chelsea, Jeffrey, Christian, Elias, Ezequiel, Diego, Josiah, Hector, Isaiah, Cam’ron, Joshua, Noah, Ayden, Ysabella and Haven Rae. She also had two great grandchildren Brin’leigh and Keh’lani.
