Theobelle peacefully passed this life and is enjoying eternal life with Jesus. She was raised by a loving family in a small farming community in Forrest, New Mexico. As a tomboy, she played volleyball and basketball. On weekends, she snuck out of the house to attend barn dances. When she was young, she gave her life to Jesus at a tent revival. She graduated from high school in Clovis, New Mexico.
A favorite pastime of hers was driving a dump truck down Main Street with her best friend. Theo married Bob Feland and they raised two daughters in Carlsbad, NM. She sold Avon to pay for dental braces for her daughter. Then she moved to Hobbs, NM to be near family. She bought a home and worked for the Motor Vehicle Dept. for thirty-five years. In her spare time, she painted ceramics, sewed clothes, played bingo, crocheted baby blankets, and cooked family meals. Family often requested fried chicken, pancakes, and onion rings. She never turned down watermelon, ice cream, and popcorn. It was always fun at her house. She loved cleaning her home and taking care of the yard. Holidays were special to her. She laughed as she played board and video games with the grandkids for hours. She loved and took excellent care of her many pet friends. Theo was extremely generous with her time and money. She regularly attended soccer games and dance and piano recitals. She thought of others first. For instance, on a modest income she paid for cars and college tuition for those in need. Several family members lived in her home as needed through the years. Watching basketball was a fun pastime.
She was always a good, strong example to everyone. She was a believer who read her bible and prayed daily. She will be missed until we see her again. Hers was a life well lived.
Living family members are one daughter, Sharon King and Steve. Three grandchildren are Alicia King Rahman and Ben, Cindy Ganaway and Dave, John Haschets. Six great grandchildren are Rodney, Brandon, Emily, Connor, Colby, Camden and one great, great grandchild. Deceased family members are parents Vera Mae and Lawrence Hunt, husband Bob Feland, daughter Debbie Haschets and Rodney, sister Helen Baker and Ray, brother Coleman Hunt.
