Tomas S. Salazar

December 21, 1943 — February 1, 2026

Hobbs

Our beloved Tomas S. Salazar, 82, of Hobbs, New Mexico, left this world peacefully February 1st, 2026. Tomas was born to Jose and Maria Salazar in Brownsville, Texas on December 21st, 1943.

Tomas spent 8 years serving in the National Guard and the US Army. Mr. Salazar spent 40 years as a heavy equipment operator traveling all over the country. An avid pool player, carpenter, and mechanic, Tomas was truly a Jack of all trades.

As much as it pains us to say goodbye, we know that he would only tell us to “keep smiling”. Tomas is survived by his wife Dora G Salazar, brother Armando Silva, sons Mark Salazar, Amado Garcia, Guy Eagleburger, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in passing by his parents Jose and Maria, brothers Albert Salazar and Jose Salazar, son Adan Gomez, and grandchildren Adrianne Salazar and Zakk Salazar.
