Thomas Samford, Jr.

Thomas L. Samford, 91, was born October 6, 1923 in Desdemona, Texas to Thomas L. and Lucia Samford, Sr. He passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015 in Odessa, TX.

Thomas married Evelyn Milam on August 28, 1943 in Eliasville, Texas. He worked for Gulf Oil for 38 years until his retirement. He enjoyed camping, fishing and loved to rv. He enjoyed wood carving.

He is survived by his wife Evelyn of Hobbs, one son; Tom Samford (Janice) of Hobbs, NM, one daughter; Debbie Hyden of Andrews, TX, one brother; Pierre Samford (Sue) of Texas and one sister; Betty Tekell of Texas, 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his older sister; Geraldine Collier and a younger brother, Jacky Samford .
