Tommy Dean Parker went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 4, 2026. He passed peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on January 6, 1954, in Hobbs, New Mexico, Tommy was the son of Jack and Louise Parker. He grew up in Eunice, New Mexico, alongside his older brother, Billy Jack. During his years at Eunice High School, Tommy made his claim to fame as the catcher for the Cardinals baseball team that won the 1972 state championship. He was always honored to call himself a Eunice Cardinal.
After graduating high school, Tommy attended New Mexico Junior College, where he earned his associate's degree. He continued his education at New Mexico State University, receiving both his bachelor's and master's degrees. He later earned his Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico and became licensed to practice law in both New Mexico and Florida.
Tommy began his legal career at a prestigious law firm in Albuquerque. After the passing of his father, he returned to Hobbs to care for his mother and soon established his own law practice, where he faithfully served his community for many years. Deeply committed to public service, Tommy was especially proud to serve as the city attorney for his hometown of Eunice.
On January 26, 2008, Tommy married the love of his life, Eva. Together they built a beautiful life and were blessed with two daughters, Courtney and Hope. Tommy adored his family and cherished every moment spent with them. He loved sharing stories about his girls with anyone who would listen. As a family, they enjoyed golfing, boating, skiing, and traveling and made memories that will be treasured forever.
Tommy never met a stranger. He embraced life fully and was known for his warmth, kindness, and the unmistakable "Parker smile" that could light up any room.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Louise Parker, and his brother, Billy Jack Parker. Tommy is survived by his wife, Eva; his beloved daughters, Courtney and Hope; and many dear friends who loved him deeply and will miss him greatly.
