Veda Hallman

Veda Lorene Hallman, 74, of Hobbs, NM, passed away on December 12 after a slow decline in her heath.

Veda was born on December 22, 1948 to Charles Robert Woods Sr. and Georgia Mae Stewart in Colorado City, TX.

Veda was preceded in death by her mother and father, and her brothers, Charles Robert Woods Jr. and David Allen Woods. She is survived by her sister, Beverly Martin and her husband, Ronald Martin of Hobbs, and her brother Dale Woods and his wife, Barbara Woods of Hobbs. She is also survived by her sons, David Kevin of Fort Worth, Tx and Lowell Hutchens, his wife Karyn, and 3 grandsons, Hunter and wife Holly, Hayden, and Henry, all of Stillwater, Ok. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Veda was known for her joyful, generous nature by all who knew her, and spread joy no matter what was going on in her life. She was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her, and all would describe her as the kindest, friendliest person they'd ever met. Her favorite hobbies were reading, cooking, baking, and she was a wonderful cake decorator. She will be greatly missed, but we are comforted knowing she rests in the arms of Jesus, happy, healed, and no longer in pain.
