Vernon Solomon

Vernon Virgil Solomon, 90, passed away on March 15, 2014 in Hobbs, New Mexico. Mr. Solomon was born April 15, 1923 in Bailey, Oklahoma, to Dave and Fannie Solomon. On September 3, 1968 Vernon married Rita Solomon in Seminole, Texas. Mr. Solomon served in the Army. He was awarded a Purple Heart. Vernon enjoyed boating and fishing.

Mr. Solomon is survived by his wife, Rita, of the home son Dave Solomon of Hobbs two sisters, Jewel Bible of Hobbs, and Mildred Simmons husband Gene of Blanchard, Oklahoma and numbers nieces and nephews.

Mr. Solomon was preceded in death by son Donnie Solomon in 1996, and ten brothers and sisters.

Memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice. Cremation will take place.
