Vicki spent 25 years in law enforcement, starting in 1983 at the Hobbs Police Department. She later served with the Lea County Sheriff's Office and retired after a dedicated career, with her last 17 years as a criminal investigator for the 5th Judicial District with the State of New Mexico. Her commitment to protecting and serving her community reflected her strength, determination, and unwavering sense of justice.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert (Ed) Lewis; daughters Dawn Haywood and husband Dallas, and Duskie Bennett and husband Kevin; son Robbie Lewis; and her cherished granddaughters Victoria (Torie), Kynsie, and Kamri. Vicki had a deep love for crafting, gardening, camping, ziplining, and traveling-always ready for the next adventure. She shared her time generously, volunteering as a Pink Lady at Hobbs Hospital and making every holiday and family trip special. Family reunions in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and countless gatherings created traditions that will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Known for her kindness, warmth, humor, and strength, Vicki was the cornerstone of her family-a loving wife, mother, and Nana whose smile could brighten the darkest days. Her legacy will continue through the countless lives she touched.
