alignjustifyArrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
alignjustifyMrs. Teeter, 75, died April 16, 2009, at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. She was born October 20, 1933, in Chelsea, Oklahoma. She married James Edgar Teeter on September 23, 1966, in Hobbs.
alignjustifyVirginia had a great love for children. She was involved at the family's nursery school for 16 years. She loved to crochet and work in her flower garden. Virginia's family will remember her great cooking.
alignjustifySurvivors include her husband, J.E. Teeter of Hobbs, four sons, Windell Jordan of Monahans, Texas, Ronnie Teeter of Hobbs, Jeff Teeter of Hobbs, and James Teeter of Deming, New Mexico; two daughters, Sharol Smith of Jal, New Mexico, and Phyllis Teeter of Ruidoso, New Mexico; two brothers, Johnny Dawes of Pampa, Texas, and Bill Dawes of Guyman, Oklahoma; one sister, JoAnn Koelzer of Pampa, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
alignjustifyVirginia was preceded in death by her first husband, Vaughn Jordan; and a brother, Art Dawes.
