Walter "Dennis" Johnston was born on March 10, 1941, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to Walter Ennis Johnston and Lilly Andrea Pedersen-Johnston. He was raised in Clovis, New Mexico, where he spent his early years before proudly serving in the Army National Guard.
In 1965, Dennis made his home in Hobbs, New Mexico. There, he built a respected career managing City Glass and Mirror until his retirement in 2008.
