Warren Maypole

alignjustifyFuneral services for Warren E. Maypole Jr. of Hobbs, New Mexico, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at Highland Baptist Church with Pastor Aaron Denson officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. CDT in Old Andrews Cemetery in Andrews, Texas. Visitation is 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday and 8-8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.

alignjustifyMr. Maypole, 75, died April 19,2009, at his home in Hobbs. He was born January 2, 1934, in Helena, Oklahoma. He married Ramona Tramell on May 16, 1969, in Lovington, New Mexico. Warren served in the U. S. Army from January 1956 - to 1958. He held the rank of P4 and was discharged at Fort Bliss, Texas. Warren's greatest joy in life was his family. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

alignjustifySurvivors include his wife, Ramona Maypole of Hobbs; two sons, Larry Dale Maypole and wife Mary of Rockport, Texas, and Weldon Scott Maypole and wife Gayla of EI Cajon, California; a stepdaughter, Lila Jo Headley of San Diego, California; a brother, Gary Maypole and wife Pat of Marble Falls, Texas; a sister, Velda Rae Mickey Patton of Shelby, North Carolina; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

alignjustifyWarren was preceded in death by his parents, W.E. Curly and Alice M. Maypole.

alignjustifyThe family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
