Wayne Blackerby

Daniel "Wayne" Blackerby, age 79 years young, has gone home to be with his Lord on June 3, 2019. He fought a long battle but, now is home.

Wayne was born to J. D. and Lillian Blackerby on April 2, 1940 in Weatherford, TX. He served in the US Army and the National Guard. He graduated in Hobbs with the class of 1959.

Wayne is survived by his wife; Judy Blackerby of 49 years and four months. He is also survived by one daughter; Julie Rodriguez and one son; Jay Blackerby. He is also survived by two sisters; Pat Thompson and Mary Jo Varner of Hobbs, NM, and daughter-in-law, Debbie Blackerby. He leaves behind five grandchildren; Chris Rodriguez, Ashley Rodriguez, Adam Rodriguez, Andrea Blackerby, and Dillon Blackerby (Stephanie) of Albuquerque, NM, and nine great-grandchildren with one on the way. He has one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Earl Wayne Blackerby.
