Wilbur Lee Yarborough, better known as Lee, 83, of Hobbs, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026. Born in Lamesa Texas, on May 11,1943, Lee grew up in Spur Texas and lived a life full of love that was spent with family and friends. As a master diesel mechanic for many years, he enjoyed his off time with family, tinkering in his shop, watching westerns, and going western dancing. Lee is preceded in death by his parents James Hardy and Catherine Bonnie; his late wife, Rita; brother Tom; sisters Jonell and Shirley; daughters Sheila and Jami; and Mack the bulldog. He is survived by his daughter Karen, granddaughters Emily and Amber, grandson Travis, nieces Teena and Tiffany, many great grandchildren, cousins, other family and friends. Lee will be greatly missed.

Viewing will be at Chapel of Hope on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Services will be graveside at Prairie Haven Memorial Park on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
