William Pritchard

William Preston Pritchard Sr.

Known by names, including Bill, Sr., Sonny/Uncle Son, and Pa to name a few, Bill was called to his eternal resting place on January 25th, 2024. Bill, Sr. was born on August 17th, 1940 to his parents, William B. and Josie Simpson Pritchard, in Strawberry, AR. He is survived by his wife, Flonell Pritchard of Hobbs, New Mexico, his son, Kevin Pritchard and wife Tracy of Hobbs, New Mexico, his grandchildren: Dawson Pritchard and wife Griffin of Arkansas, Chase Pritchard and wife Caity of Texas, Kassie Pritchard of Texas, Zachary Patterson and wife Chelsea of New Mexico, and Celia "C.C." Pritchard of New Mexico, his great grandchildren: Darby, Enoch, Greyson, Serenity, and a few on the way, his siblings: Arsula Sherman, Genell Cheek, B.L. Pritchard, and Carolyn Pruitt, and many family members who love him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son, William Pritchard, Jr, and three sisters and one brother.

Bill resided in Hobbs since 1950. He was a graduate of Hobbs High. Following graduation, Bill joined the United States Air Force and served from 1961-1965. He married his wife of nearly 60 years on May 15, 1964. Bill worked for Phillips Petroleum for 25 years (1975-2000). He was a faithful member of Faith Assembly of God in Hobbs and a founding member of the Christian Motorcyclists Assoc. Chapter 319, the "Son Country Riders", of Hobbs. Bill never met a stranger, loved to tell stories, and loved making others laugh. He was immensely proud of his boys and his grandkids and didn't hesitate to let everyone he met know about that. It brings us great peace knowing that Bill is now with his Heavenly Father.
