William Trenton (Trent) Stradley
Trent Stradley passed from this life to be with his Lord and Savior on April 26th, 2024, in Seminole, Texas. Trent was born in Burkburnett, Texas on April 10th, 1934, to Dora (Micky) and K.R. Stradley. He grew up in Hobbs, New Mexico and graduated from Hobbs High School class of 1952. He briefly attended Texas Tech University but dropped out to marry the love of his life Mary Beth Walker in 1954. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Trent was a successful businessman who had many interests and hobbies. Aside from being a devoted husband and father he owned and operated a successful oilfield trucking company, Billy Walker Trucking Company. He had many successful years in the horse racing business with his longtime partner Tom Williams. He and his father-in-law Billy Walker were the founders of SW Cattle Company, which to this day continues to be a successful farming/cow calf business. He was also a long-standing board member of Lea County State Bank. His business interests were all very diversified and successful.
Survivors include his daughter Cindy Northcutt and her husband Jim of Deming, New Mexico; his son, Walker Stradley and his wife Connie of Seminole, Texas. Trent had 5 grandchildren, Allison Shelton and her husband Clay of Canyon, Texas; Trent Stradley and his wife Gin of Magnolia, Texas; Amanda Napoleon of Midland, Texas; William Matthews of Midland, Texas and Jennifer Walker and her Husband Joe of Royse City, Texas. Trent was also blessed with 14 great grandchildren. Trent was preceded in death by his eldest daughter Linda Kay Matthews and his beloved wife Mary Beth Stradley.
A memorial will be held at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 8th at 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes that memorials be made to one’s charity of choice.
